Criminal Law

In Canada, everyone has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. When it comes to criminal matters, we will work to ensure you have the right to due process, the right to a fair trial, and the right to be represented by a lawyer who will fight for these rights.

South End Law is experienced in representing those individuals who find themselves charged with criminal offences under the Criminal Code. If the police have charged you, it does not necessarily mean that you are guilty.

If you have been charged under the Criminal Code, or the Controlled Drugs & Substances Act, we would advise you to take no further action, avoid making statements to anyone, and contact us as soon as possible for legal advice. From there, we will review your matter, review the Crown Disclosure (meaning, the complete record of all of the information the Crown Prosecution office has against you), and lead you toward a resolution of the charges.

Additionally, our practice extends to defending clients charged with regulatory offences, such as offences under the Motor Vehicle Act, including speeding and stunting charges, etc.
